Pulsed.Market by Story Studio

Research Participant Privacy & AI Notice

Effective date: 01 September 2026

Pulsed.Market is a research and market intelligence initiative of Story Studio Ltd, Cayman Islands, PO BOX 1711, KY1-1109.

This notice explains what happens to information you provide when participating in Pulsed.Market research.

A particular study may provide additional information where its design, subject matter, sponsor or method requires it.

Taking part is voluntary

Participation in Pulsed.Market research is voluntary unless you have been told otherwise in the specific research invitation.

You can leave a survey at any time before completing it.

Choosing not to participate will not affect your access to Pulsed.Market or Story Studio Ltd services.

What we collect

We collect the answers you choose to provide. Depending on the study, this may include:

  • survey or interview responses;
  • demographic information;
  • open-ended comments;
  • eligibility or screening information;
  • a randomly generated survey session identifier;
  • recruitment-source information;
  • response timing and research-quality information; and
  • information needed to manage research quotas or sampling.

Some studies may ask questions about health, wellbeing or other sensitive subjects. You should only provide information you are comfortable providing.

Are responses anonymous?

Most Pulsed.Market public surveys are designed so that you can participate without giving us your name, email address or creating an account.

For ordinary public-link surveys, our research system uses a randomly generated session identifier to manage your response.

We do not store your raw IP address as part of your survey response record.

However, not every research method is completely anonymous. A response may potentially be linked to additional information where a study uses:

  • individual or managed invitations;
  • a research panel;
  • voice participation;
  • a participant or invitation reference; or
  • information you voluntarily provide that identifies you.

If a study requires us to know who participants are, this should be made clear as part of that research.

Please avoid entering your name, contact information or other identifying details in open-ended answers unless the study specifically asks for them.

Voice surveys

Some Pulsed.Market studies allow you to answer by speaking with an AI-powered voice interviewer.

If you choose voice participation:

  • you are interacting with an artificial-intelligence system;
  • your voice may be processed to produce a transcript;
  • the transcript may be analysed using artificial intelligence;
  • AI may map parts of the conversation to the relevant survey questions; and
  • quality and confidence checks may be used to assess the reliability of that mapping.

Voice recordings, transcripts or related technical identifiers may therefore be processed as part of the study.

You can choose the text survey instead where both options are available.

How AI is used

Pulsed.Market uses artificial intelligence as a research-assistance tool. Depending on the study, AI may help with:

  • questionnaire design;
  • voice interviewing;
  • transcription;
  • organising spoken answers;
  • reviewing response quality;
  • identifying themes in open-ended responses; and
  • helping draft explanations or research narratives.

AI does not independently create the official numerical results of Pulsed.Market research. Quantitative research calculations are produced from the collected data using defined computational methods.

Public research findings remain subject to human review and editorial responsibility.

We do not use your survey response to make legal, employment, credit, healthcare or similarly significant decisions about you.

How your information is used

Your information may be used to:

  • conduct the research;
  • determine study eligibility;
  • manage sample composition and quotas;
  • check research quality;
  • analyse responses;
  • produce statistics and aggregated findings;
  • compare groups or research waves;
  • prepare reports, articles, briefings or events; and
  • maintain a reliable record of the research methodology.

We do not sell individual survey responses as personal data.

We do not use your research responses for direct marketing to you unless you have separately agreed to that use.

Publication of findings

Pulsed.Market research is normally published in aggregated form.

For example, a publication may state that a percentage of participating respondents gave a particular answer without identifying the people who provided the answers.

Open-ended comments may sometimes be quoted or summarised. We aim to avoid publishing information that unnecessarily identifies an individual.

Who processes the information

Pulsed.Market is operated by Story Studio Ltd.

We also use specialist technology providers to operate our research infrastructure, including services for cloud storage, artificial intelligence, voice processing and transcription.

Depending on the feature being used, information may be processed using technology provided by organisations such as Supabase, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and ElevenLabs.

Some processing may take place outside the Cayman Islands, including in the United States.

How long information is kept

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the research, research-quality requirements, legal or contractual obligations and the integrity of any resulting publication.

Where information no longer needs to identify an individual, it may be deleted or anonymised.

Aggregated or genuinely anonymised research findings may be retained for historical comparison, continuing research and publication.

Can you ask us to delete a response?

Where we can reasonably identify information as belonging to you, you may contact us to exercise any applicable data protection rights.

If your response was collected anonymously and we have no reasonable way of determining which response is yours, we may not be able to locate or delete it after submission.

Information that has already been irreversibly anonymised and included in anonymous aggregate findings can no longer be associated with you.

Your privacy rights

Story Studio Ltd processes personal data primarily under the Cayman Islands Data Protection Act (2021 Revision).

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access information about you, correct inaccurate information, ask for certain processing to stop or be restricted, and complain about how your information is being handled.

Additional protections may apply when EU, UK or other data protection laws apply to a particular study.

You can contact Story Studio Ltd via email at hello@story.ky.

You may also raise a data protection complaint with the Cayman Islands Ombudsman.

For more information about our overall approach to privacy and data protection, please read the Pulsed.Market Privacy & Data Protection Policy.
